Google’s AI chatbot Gemini has surpassed 750 million monthly active users (MAU), according to the company’s report. fourth quarter 2025 results. This figure illustrates the rapid consumer adoption of Gemini, which has quickly become a leading player in the AI space.
Last quarter, Google reported 650 million monthly active users for Gemini, indicating substantial growth over a short period of time. In comparison, Meta AI has reported nearly 500 million monthly users. However, even as Gemini gains ground, it still lags behind its biggest rival, ChatGPT, which is estimated to have around 810 million MAU end of 2025.
The newly revealed figure follows the launch of Gemini 3, which features the company’s most advanced model to date, delivering responses that the company says feature an unprecedented level of depth and nuance.
CEO Sundar Pichai highlighted the introduction of Gemini 3 in AI mode as a “positive driver” for the company’s growth and stressed that continued investment and iteration would maintain this momentum.
Google recently rolled out a more affordable plan, the Google AI Pluspriced at $7.99 per month. The plan is expected to boost growth by attracting budget-conscious consumers, although it was made public too recently to have any influence on the quarterly figures.
“We are focusing on a free tier and subscriptions and seeing strong growth,” Philipp Schindler, Google’s chief business officer, said on the investor call.
Gemini’s growth is particularly notable given Alphabet’s overall financial performance. The company surpassed $400 billion in annual revenue for the first time this quarter. Google attributes this success to the expansion of its AI division, which has seen increased demand. Recently, Google introduced the latest generation of its TPU AI accelerator chip, called Ironwoodto compete with Nvidia.
